Terms of use
Draft — under review. Not legal advice.
These terms describe use of Mentor Intelligence by chapter staff and by people who submit public forms. Related: Privacy.
Parties
The platform operator hosts Mentor Intelligence. The legal entity name for contracts is still being confirmed. A chapter is an independent mentoring program that uses a workspace on the platform. Staff users have signed-in accounts. Public form users submit applications, mentor updates, venture check-ins or rally sign-ups.
By using the service you agree to these terms. If you act for an organization, you confirm you may bind it.
The service
Mentor Intelligence provides chapter-scoped tools for mentoring programs (directories, applicant tracking, rally matching, journeys, program health, advisory board scorecards, invites, transactional email, optional integrations, and an optional staff AI assistant), as enabled for each chapter.
Chapters do not share operational data with each other. Non-production sites (dev, UAT, previews) may contain test data and restricted email — do not put real personal information there unless agreed.
Accounts
Staff accounts are invite- or allowlist-controlled. Keep credentials confidential. Chapter administrators are responsible for who they invite and which roles they assign. Authorized staff may use "View as" under product rules; it must not be used to evade chapter policy. Access may be suspended if it appears compromised or abusive.
Chapter responsibilities
Chapters are responsible for their program notices and consent where required, the accuracy of data and custom form questions they publish, lawful use of notes and evaluations, responding to individual requests about chapter-held data, and configuring integrations safely.
Public forms
Submitting a public form sends your information to the chapter named on the form and to the systems that host that chapter. See the Privacy notice. Do not submit other people's personal information unless you have a right to do so.
Acceptable use
- Do not try to access another chapter's data or non-public areas of the service.
- Do not overload, probe or harm the service without prior written approval for security research.
- Do not upload malware or content you do not have the right to use.
- Do not use the service for unsolicited bulk email unrelated to chapter program operations.
- Do not misrepresent who you are on staff features or public forms.
- Do not use AI features to make fully automated adverse decisions about people without appropriate human review by the chapter.
AI features
AI features are optional tools for staff. Outputs may be wrong. Chapters remain responsible for decisions about people in their programs. Provider terms apply to text sent to AI APIs.
Disclaimers and liability
Draft wording: the service is provided as available. Mentoring outcomes remain the chapter's and participants' responsibility. Liability caps and exclusions will be set in counsel-reviewed contracts; this page does not create insurance or certification claims.
Governing law
Proposed, pending Kevin's decision: laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. Privacy details are in the Privacy notice.
